Why You Should Take Vitamin D3 But, Not All Supplements Are Created Equal!

Happy 4th of July everyone, hope all of you have a safe and healthy 4th.

As I have mentioned before, As important as it is to fuel the body with proper vitamins and supplements, the quality of your supplements are also as important.

Studies find tainted supplements or misleading labels are common. Before becoming a pharmacist I never knew to make sure my supplements were alcohol free, citric acid free and didn't have any mystery fillers. The supplement industry is not regulated the way prescription drugs are. The ingredients on the label may not accurately reflect what's actually in the supplement.

As a pharmacist now, I am a certified practitioner with Fullscript, where I am able to dispense quality, medical grade supplements at a discounted rate to my patients, and keep patients on track with their supplements plan.

You can all access my dispensary by going to Fullscript website and signing up :

And, with the second wave of Corona Virus upon us , I highly recommend my patients to be taking a vitamin C, D, and Magnesium on a daily basis. There is an extensive research behind vitamin D3 in boosting the immune system, in addition Corona Virus infection may be reduced by vitamin D.

My Vitamin D, supplement of choice is by Pure encapsulation ( Click for link here .)

NO doubt, you are probably familiar with the role of vitamin D in promoting healthy bones, by promoting absorption of Calcium. A new study from the University of Bristol shows that children and teens with higher levels of vitamin D are less likely to experience depression than those with lower levels. The specific form of vitamin D is also important. This study found that vitamin D3 offered stronger anti-depressant benefits than vitamin D2.

If you think you are not getting enough vitamin D from the sun or your diet, you should supplement with vitamin D3. As always consult with your healthcare provider or pharmacist before starting any new supplement.
