What is a Jade Roller and the benefits!

This ancient medicinal practice has been an integral part of total body health since the 7th century. Even though its been trending lately, jade rolling is not a new concept. Jade rolling has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine. The gemstone was used to draw out negative energy and balance "Chi", which is also known as "life source" or "energy" in traditional Chinese medicine.

The jade roller is a beauty tool made of authentic and beautiful jade stone which is rolled across the skin for complexion-perfecting purposes. Jade rolling feels like a tension-relieving, relaxing facial massage which helps to drain lymphatic fluid that is held stagnant beneath the tissue. Think of jade rolling like a workout for your face and neck.

Jade Roller Benefits :

1- Tightens, smooths and sculpts the skin

2- Discourages the appearances of wrinkles and improves skin elasticity

3- Reduces puffiness and dark circles around the eyes

4- Relieves facial tension, sinus pressure, and headaches

5- Stimulates blood flow and oxygen for a natural glow

6- Helps absorb creams, oils, and serums for better results

7- Eliminates toxins through lympathic drainage

I encourage you to use a jade roller daily and nightly with your skin care routine. The massage portion of any skin care routine should be five to ten minutes. When you use your jade roller, it is best to use it over a serum in the morning, then follow with an SPF moisturizer. If you use a mask at night, it can be used over the masque to boost skin healing and elastin production. But, don't jade roll over make up.

Its also important to note that like many other skin care trends, a jade roller isn't for everyone. Its best to avoid using the roller if you are having any types of skin rashes or cold sores.

You should also make sure to sanitize your roller with mild soap in between uses. Technique is extremely important when it comes to using a jade roller. Not using it in the right way might end up doing more harm than good.

If used the proper way, I think this is an effective at-home skin treatment for both females and males.
