Magnesium eases anxiety/insomnia

This past week I have really seen the effect of coronavirus first hand at work. This pandemic has caused a lot of anxiety and sleepless nights for many out there. Anxiety, insomnia, and stress can really effect the immune system in a negative way.

Magnesium has been shown in numerous studies to help ease anxiety and insomnia. Studies have shown that most people don't get enough magnesium from their diet and therefore supplementation might be necessary.

Magnesium relieves stress and anxiety in so many ways : Balances blood sugar, stabilizes cortisol, reduces brain inflammation, alleviates symptoms of depression, and improves GABA levels.

The best form of magnesium to take to ease anxiety is Magnesium Glycinate, 1-2 hours before bedtime.

In addition to supplements, I usually recommend a diet rich in as many magnesium foods as possible such as : spinach, avocado, sprouted pumpkin seeds, nuts, dark chocolate, and wild-caught fish.

Magnesium is essential to human health and can help the body endure high levels of stress.
