Turmeric is commonly used to fight inflammation, and the bulk of turmeric's inflammation-fighting powers can be credited to curcumin. In fact, in the right dose, curcumin may be more effective anti-inflammatory treatment than medications such as advil and aspirin according to some studies. Some other scientific benefits of turmeric include : provides joint support, improves brain health, supports liver function, and improves skin health.

For high cholesterol : 1.4gram in 2 divided doses daily for 3 months , For osteoarthritis : 500mg twice daily for 6 week can be used. Before initiating any supplements over the counter you have to consult with you doctor or pharmacist.
